My design ideas spring from a wealth of experience in the product development cycle. Concepts are derived from detailed investigation of a client’s need blended with all the requirements necessary for a custom or large scale production environment. Function is the primary driving concern to achieve the ultimate solution. The form is then derived from adding all the “Design” elements, such as styling, finish, scale, proportion and of course… cost.
I have always believed that the success of a product depends on if it works. The look of the product is secondary… unless of course, how it looks is the ultimate goal.
I have consciously never ascribed to any particular “style”. That will ultimately depend on the clients direction blended with the products intention. Almost any “Style” can be successful with the proper application of proportion and scale!
